Psychetopia

Yes, I made that word up. But you’ve got to admit, it’s catchy, right?

What does ‘Psychetopia’ mean? Let’s break it down:

psy·che /ˈsīkē/ the human soul, mind, or spirit

to·pi·a /ˈtōpēə/ a concept that implies that we begin realizing our ideals here and now

A Brief Introduction:

Welcome to my evolving website! Please excuse any missing information or broken links as I continue to develop and enhance this space. My passion has always been helping people, primarily through physical treatments for ailments. Over the years, I’ve come to recognize the profound link between physical and emotional well-being. In recent times, I’ve expanded my focus beyond traditional bodywork to incorporate a much stronger connection to the psyche. As I progress in my training as a psychedelic integration guide, I’m constantly adding new tools to my toolkit. This website serves not only to showcase my offerings but also to refine and articulate my vision.

I am open to suggestions, corrections and inquiries. Please feel free to contact me here.

For starters, allow me to ask… why did you end up at this site?

Are you eager to feel a sense of unity with our planet, our creator, our fellow humans? Perhaps you would like to heal trauma, reconcile with your inner child; your higher self; your innate wisdom. Or maybe you just need to take a few steps back and look at the big picture.

Sounds like it’s time for a trip through the gateway to your true reality. Your true reality is nothing new – it has existed and will continue to exist regardless of your awareness. Technically, it IS your awareness… your POWER!

Many are able to access this higher realm through prayer, meditation, hypnotherapy or even a dream state. I consider them very lucky. For many of us, altered states are quite difficult to achieve without some sort of assistance.

Let’s explore a couple of methods of reaching altered states without ingesting any external substances.

Breathwork

Properly administered breathwork techniques such as the ‘Wim Hof‘ method or that of ‘Stanislov Grof‘ can safely allow their practitioners to access altered states of consciousness. These techniques can be learned at full day workshops and typically need to be practiced with the assistance of a ‘trip sitter’.

roXiva®

Don’t have the time to spend an entire day at a breathwork workshop? The roXiva® is a lamp that uses light and sound to facilitate brain entrainment. y inducing deep relaxation, stimulating creativity and productivity, roXiva® is your gateway to personal transformation.

Somatic Work

The somatic approach focuses on the connection between emotions and the physical body, aiming to address unprocessed negative emotions that manifest as physical ailments. Examples of somatic work are the Feldenkrais Method, the Alexander Technique, Emotional Freedom Technique, and Mind-Body Bowen.

Mind-Body Bowen combines deep relaxation and specialized moves to uncover and address deep-rooted issues. It can be enhanced with psycho-active substances for faster resolution.

Psychedelics

While psychedelics can’t be lumped in with the substance-free methods of altering your state, recent activity in the area of plant medicine has brought about a resurgence of psychedelic substances. In fact, research studies published within recent years have led to de-criminalization and even legalization in certain parts of North America where certain psychedelic medicines are being used to treat depression, anxiety, addictions and PTSD with mind-blowing success!

More on psychedelic substances to come… it is not my place to recommend in favour of or against these sacred medicines (although I do have some strong opinions on the subject!).
